OREANDA-NEWS. November 16, 2009. This was announced during the meeting of the Minister of Finance Veaceslav Negruta and the chairman of Association of Banks in Moldova Dumitru Ursu.

He said that introduction from January 1 2010 the taxation of deposits of individuals and legal entities may trigger the outflows of finance from the banks. In his turn, Veaceslav Negruta said that it is important to provide transition of Moldova International Financial Reporting Standards (SIRF), which, by law, will be held on January 1, 2010.

The Ministry of Finance and NBM intend to develop the appropriate amendments to the Law on Accounting. In addition, during the meeting a number of other issues of the banking community development were discussed. It is planned to preserve the zero income tax rate in the banking sector, to launch the automated informational system, to revise the regulatory framework of the banks.

The parties also agreed to establish a working group of representatives of the Ministry of Finance and Banking Association to provide speedy implementation of the proposals of the banking sector.
