OREANDA-NEWS. November 27, 2009. The heavy-class launch vehicle (LV) "Proton-M” with "Briz-M" booster launched on Tuesday, November 24, at 17.19 o’clock (Moscow time) from the Baikonur Cosmodrome has successfully placed into orbit the French telecommunications spacecraft (SC) "W 7".

Military crews of the Space Forces provided control of the launch by the means of launching ground automated control center. The launch and orbit insertion of the spacecraft went within normal mode.

In 17.28 o’clock (Moscow time) the upper stage "Briz-M" with the spacecraft "W 7" successfully separated from the "Proton-M" and at the estimated time – 2.31 o’clock (Moscow time) on November 25 brought the spacecraft into orbit .
After separation the spacecraft "W 7" was adopted by the customer for controlling.
