OREANDA-NEWS. November 30, 2009. The Arbitration Appeal Court confirmed validity of the administrative fine imposed by the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia) upon "Znamya" Moscow Machine-Building Plant" OJSC ("Znamya" "MMZ" OJSC) for an antimonopoly violation. Earlier the Moscow Arbitration Court arrived to the similar conclusions, reported the press-centre of FAS Russia.

"Znamya" "MMZ" OJSC manufacturers components to military and civilian aviation equipment.

Earlier FAS Russia established that "Znamya" MMZ" OJSC evaded the contract for supplying components for hydraulic systems for helicopters with "256 ARZ" OJSC without any economic or technological grounds (in breach of Clause 5 Part 1 Article 10 of the Federal Law "On Protection of Competition").

The Antimonopoly Service issued a determination "Znamya" MMZ" OJSC to eliminate the antimonopoly violation by entering into a contract with "256 ARZ" OJSC for supplying components necessary to repair "Mi" helicopters.

Within the statutory period "Znamya" MMZ" OJSC submitted to FAS Russia documents confirming execution of the determination.

Under Article 14.31 of the Code of the Russian Federation on Administrative violations, FAS Russia fined "Znamya" MMZ" OJSC 1,185,390 Rubles for abusing dominant position on the market of aviation equipment.
