OREANDA-NEWS. February 04, 2010. The Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia) initiated a case against the Ministry of Interior of the Russian Federation for the elements of violating Clause 2 Part 1 Article 15 of the Federal Law "On Protection of Competition" (prohibiting competition-restricting acts and actions (omissions) of the authorities), reported the press-centre of FAS Russia.

FAS Russia suspects that the Ministry violated the law by setting requirements for producing motor vehicle inspection stickers that are not based on Russian legislative regulations, as well as by failing to introduce the necessary amendments to normative acts related to the level of security of the required printing products.

Actions (omissions) of the Ministry of Interior can lead to preventing competition on the market of services for producing motor vehicle inspection stickers and create obstacles for companies' operations on the market for producing secure printing products.
