Vitaly Korolyov, the Head of the Department for Control over Electric Power Industry of the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia) made a presentation at the 7th International Conference "Russian Electric Power Industry: Analysis of the Latest Market Challenges and a Forecast of the Trends on the Electric Power Market in New Economic Conditions", reported the press-centre of FAS Russia.

In his presentation Vitaly Korolyov broached important issues of antimonopoly regulation and control of the markets of electric energy and shared his vision of prospective development of the industry at the final stage of liberalizing relevant markets with the conference.

"Open discussions of the problems of performance and development of such an important part of the Russian economy as the electric power sector not only have considerable positive effects for the participating companies within the sector, but also help representatives of the government bodies have a more accurate picture of practical implementation of particular statutory acts as well as identify possible avenues for their further improvement", said Vitaly Korolyov.
