OREANDA-NEWS. March 25, 2010. The possibilities of establishing mutually advantageous interstate cooperation in the key fields were a focus of the meetings held by the delegation of the Federal Republic of Brazil at the ministries and department of Turkmenistan.

The delegation of the friendly country led by Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Brazil in Turkmenistan Frederico S. Duque Estrada Meyer was received at the Mejlis, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Agriculture and the Ministry of Water Industry of Turkmenistan.

During the meetings the sides highly evaluated the steady development of cooperation, which had been noticeably intensified in recent years at the bilateral and multilateral levels and in the framework of the dynamically developing dialogue between Turkmenistan and the countries of Latin American as well. Putting emphasis on the existing profound potential of partnership the representatives of Turkmenistan and Brazil confirmed the mutual interest in strengthening traditional collaboration which had the great potential and prospects despite the geographical remoteness of the two countries.

Thanking for the hospitality extended in the Turkmen land, the guests underscored the high effectiveness of the meetings which had spotlighted the readiness of both countries to further intensify full-scale cooperation built on a long-term basis in mutual interests.

The bilateral meetings were held at the Ministry of Construction Materials Industry, the Ministry of Oil and Gas Industry and Mineral Resources, the State Committee for Tourism and Sport and the Turkmenhowayollary State National Service.

During the visit to Turkmenistan the Brazilian guests visited the landmarks of the Turkmen capital and its suburbs.
