OREANDA-NEWS. April 15, 2010. Beginning from early April 2010, all passengers who book or purchase Aeroflot tickets to/from St. Petersburg will be provided a free travel on the Belorussky Station – Sheremetyevo Airport line by a high-speed Aeroexpress electric train, reported the press-centre of Aeroflot.

The free railway service from the Sheremetyevo Airport will be offered to passengers only if they have booked an air ticket in advance at Aeroflot’s own ticketing offices or agent’s offices. After the carriage is confirmed, the passenger data are submitted to the automated booking system Sabre.

The new service is introduced within the two companies’ ongoing collaboration in the combined transportation sphere, as part of the special Aeroflot Shuttle program implemented on the Moscow – St. Petersburg - Moscow airline. The program is designed to reduce flight handling time between the two capitals at the Sheremetyevo and Pulkovo airports. The new joint project is a new step in Aeroflot and Aeroexpress’ collaboration to deliver fast, reliable, comfortable and most lucrative transportation of passenger to airports.

The line between Belorussky Station and Sheremetyevo performs 26 daily flights (both ways). The high-speed Aeroexpress train runs from Belorussky Station to the Sheremetyevo Airport, with a stop at Savelovsky Station, from 05:50 until 23:30; the full timetable is available at www.aeroexpress.ru. Travel time is 35 min.

Passengers registered in the Sabre system will be admitted to any Aeroexpress’ train at their convenient time. Such passengers can obtain train tickets at Aeroexpress ticketing offices with the ‘AEROFLOT/AEROEXPRESS SERVICE’ sign. The ticketing offices are located at the company’s terminals at the Belorussky Station and Sheremetyevo Airport. To get a train ticket, passengers need to show their air ticket (itinerary receipt) to the sales agent.
