OREANDA-NEWS. May 7, 2010. Only the four Belarusian sugar refineries will be entitled to export white sugar in the period May through July 1, under resolution #568 of the Council of Ministers.

The refineries are based in Gorodeya, Zhabinka, Skidel and Slootsk.

The move is expected to regulate exports to Russia within the quota.

At present the number of suppliers is not limited.

Belarus is projected to supply 150,000 tonnes of white sugar to Russia this year.
