OREANDA-NEWS. May 17, 2010. This was announced during the press conference in Chisinau by the head of the European Commission Delegation in Moldova Dirk Schuebel. He noted that these funds will be provided to the country through the European Neighborhood and Partnership instrument to finance the National Indicative Program.

It is planned that Moldova will annually receive 91.05 million euros, which is much more than 66 million euros allocated to the country within the previous programming period 2007-2010. The priority areas of the National Indicative Program for Moldova are: good governance, rule of law and fundamental freedoms, social and human development, trade and sustainable development.

It is planned that 15% of the total EU aid will be allocated for the Transnistrian conflict settlement and strengthening of confidence-building measures between Chisinau and Tiraspol. Dirk Schuebel noted that in the next few years, both sides have good opportunities to consolidate the pace of modernization, to consolidate democratic reforms and to stabilize future of Moldova, as a close EU neighbor.
