OAO TATNEFT hosted a Scientific and Practical Conference "Past, present and future of the oil fields in the Republic of Tatarstan" with the participation of OAO TATNEFT Management, experts of engineering and geological services of oil companies of the country, influential scientists of leading scientific institutions from Moscow, Kazan, Ufa and other cities of the Russian Federation, representatives of the state authorities of the federal and regional levels at the premises of NGDU Almetyevneft "Youth" recreation base, reported the press-centre of TATNEFT.

The Conference addressed the issues of history, current state of oil fields development in Tatarstan, prospects of exploration and development of new oil fields of the Republic. The Conference also addressed topics related to innovative technologies of oil recovery enhancement in OAO TATNEFT; fuel and energy sector modernization projects based on innovative technologies; application of nano-technologies for enhancing oil recovery, etc.

Particular interest of the Conference participants was provoked by the report of R. Muslimov, Academician and Professor of the Kazan State University "On development of the oil production strategy in the Republic of Tatarstan".

The conference program included 17 report presentations and there were 42 poster presentations prepared by experts of structural divisions of OAO TATNEFT, research institutes, scientific and production associations, geological services and geophysical companies.

The reports not included in the basic program of the Conference, along with oral and poster presentations will published in a specially prepared collected articles book.

In the framework of the conference the attendees visited the production facilities of NGDU Almetyevneft: DNS-61 pumping station; well № 5663, equipped with a chain drive; well No. 14805, operated with application of the dual completion and production technology; wells at KPD site, equipped with Lufkin company controllers, as well as social facilities in Almetyevsk.
