OREANDA-NEWS. June 16, 2010. TNK-BP will provide funding to equip the intellectual leisure library center in Novyi Urengoi (Yamalo-Nenetskiy Autonomous Area) in the framework of the Agreement on Mutual Cooperation in Town Social and Economic Development, reported the press-centre of TNK-BP.

The intellectual leisure center of Novyi Urengoi currently employs state-of-the-art technology that allows getting information via media systems and internet. The Center has unique collections of books on various disciplines, encyclopedic and reference publications, and its advanced multimedia equipment allows conducting presentations, video excursions and discussion on most topical issues with participation of young people.

Recall that Novyi Urengoi is home to a TNK-BP subsidiary, CJSC ROSPAN INTERNATIONAL, which implements Yamal Major Project to develop oil and gas fields in Yamalo-Nenetskiy Autonomous Area and the North of Krasnoyarsk Region.

According to Rustem Bakirov, General Director, CJSC ROSPAN INTERNATIONAL, the funds that TNK-BP transferred to the town administration budget will be spent to purchase computer and reader desks, chairs, library bookshelves, and a book scanner for the Center.
