OREANDA-NEWS. July 08, 2010. Association “KazEnergy” and JSC NC “KazMunayGas” announce the second competition of journalistic artistry “Quill Energy”, which is aimed at improvement of creative activity of the representatives of the Kazakhstani journalism. Holding the competition organizers of “Quill Energy” intended to promote more complete, objective, interesting information of the public about the stages of development of oil and gas industry; about little known events occurred in this area; about the existing problems and problem-solving technique; about the “hero-workers” who faithfully serve their work and country; about the intergenerational continuity in the oil and gas industry and much more.

Regional and republican newspapers, television and radio companies, creative associations, corporate authors, information agencies, permanent or freelance writers may participate in the competition “Quill Energy”.

This year “Quill Energy” will be held according to the following nominations:

the best TV program / special report on oil and gas topics at the national TV;

the best analytical material in the republican print media;

the best material about the profession of oil industry worker in the national print media.

There will be special nomination for Kazakhstan journalists working in regional media. The most interesting in terms of information, deeply researched, analytical printed or electronic material will be awarded with “Grand Prix” of the competition on behalf of the Association “KazEnergy”.

Materials published in newspapers and other registered media, including Internet media, presented in television and radio during the period from 1 January 2010 until September 13, 2010 may be submitted to the competition. Competitive works will be considered by the special jury, consisting of representatives of leading Kazakh media. The official award ceremony will take place within the 5th Eurasian Energy Forum “KazEnergy”, which will be held on October 5-6, 2010 in the Palace of Independence, Astana.
