OREANDA-NEWS. July 12, 2010. Yury Klochkov, Deputy Director General of OJSC KAMAZ – CEO held a press conference for local and federal mass media.

In the course of the press conference, Yury Klochkov summed up the results of six working months at KAMAZ, told about the tasks the leader of the Russian truck industry sets itself for the second half-year. It was noted that the Kama auto giant was gradually recovering from the crisis and achieving the production level of 2007 – 160 trucks a day. It should be taken into account though that in 2007 this result was achieved when working in six shifts and today – only in three shifts. Moreover, Yury Klochkov promised that by the end of the year the daily production rate would have increased – up to 180 heavy-duty trucks a day.

According to CEO, current success and optimistic prospects for the future mostly depend on the further development of KAMAZ’s Production System due to which labour productivity and quality of products increase. This year is announced to be the Year of Quality at KAMAZ, and the results are already obvious: the number of reclamations decreased twice.

In conclusion, Yury Klochkov answered the journalists’ questions.
