OREANDA-NEWS. July 29, 2010. Uralkali’s new shareholder Suleiman Kerimov is seeking to create the world’s largest potash producer based on Uralkali, Vedomosti reported today. According to the report Kerimov is currently in talks with President Lukashenko of Belorus to buy a controlling stake in Beraluskali, one of the world’s largest potash producers, reported the press-centre of OTKRITIE Financial Corporation.

It was also reported that Kerimov has entered into negotiations with one of the Silvinit’s shareholders, Petr Kondrashev, in order to increase his stake in that company. Kerimov had previously acquired a 25% stake in Silvinit from Rybolovlev.
