OREANDA-NEWS. September 15, 2010. Passenger transportation system has been improving in the city of Navoi to create conveniences for the population and comply with modern requirements.

Prestij Millennium LLC, launched on the eve of the Independence Day of Uzbekistan, opened five new routes in the city with 30 new buses produced by Samarkand-based SamAuto plant.

The routes link the most populated districts of Navoi. Affordable travel price makes buses convenient for the residents and helps reduce the number of transport carrying passengers without license.

Until the end of the year, Prestij Millennium plans purchasing 30 additional buses for new routes.

Head of Navoi district transport department Bunyod Bozorov says the growth of the number of private transport companies and the competition positively affected the quality of services provided to the population.

Bozorqul Ruziqulov, chairman of Nuroniy fund’s city council, told UzA the World War Two veterans and certain categories of the disabled may travel for free in the public transport.
