OREANDA-NEWS. October 11, 2010. According to the National Bureau of Statistics, as compared to the same period of 2009 the consumer prices in September increased by 8%, and since the beginning of the year – by 4,5%.

The inflation in September against August was caused by the growth of prices for foodstuffs – by 2%, and nonfoods – by 0,3% and the tariffs for services, render to population. Particularly, fresh eggs in September rose in price by 33,3%, potato – by 7,9%, cereals and vegetables – by 6,4% each (including tomatoes – by 29%, cucumbers – by 27%, red pepper – by 7,7%).

At the same time the following products fell in price: watermelons and melons – by 24%, eggplants – by 14,3%, plums – by 7,9%, apples and pears – by 4,4% each, fresh grapes – by 3,6%. In September 2010 the liquefied gas in cylinders rose in price by 2,7%, stationery – by 1,6%, tobacco goods – by 1,2%.

At the same time the prices reduced for: information processing devices – by 2,2%, medicines, detergents, hygiene items – by 0,5% each. The tariffs for education in higher institutions increased by 4,2%, payment for education and upbringing of infants in kindergartens – by 1,4% and air passenger transportation – by 2,2%. In September 2010 the cost of tourist services abroad reduced by 8,3%.
