OREANDA-NEWS. November 08, 2010. Belarus has introduced the licensing of tire exports to Ukraine. The decision is contained in Resolution No. 1607 of the Council of Ministers of 1 November 2010.

In accordance with the document, the export licensing will remain in force until 31 December 2012. In 2010 Belarus will supply Ukraine with not more than 450,000 of new pneumatic rubber tires, which are classified in Subheading 4011 10 000 0 of the Unified Foreign Economic Activity Commodity Nomenclature of the Customs Union. The amount in 2011 will not exceed 575,000 units and 650,000 in 2012. The licenses will be issued by the Trade Ministry as agreed with the Belneftekhim concern in accordance with the Council of Ministers’ Resolution No. 1739 “On some issues of licensing in foreign trade” of 31 December 2009.

This decision has been made to implement the agreement between the Government of Belarus and the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine on the terms of delivery of new pneumatic rubber tires for passenger cars to Ukraine of 30 September 2010. The agreement was signed in Minsk by First Vice-Premier of Belarus Vladimir Semashko and First Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Andrei Kluyev following a session of the commission for trade and economic cooperation between the two countries. This document guarantees the deliveries of Belarusian tires to Ukraine at the prices no lower than Belarus’ domestic prices. Thus, the document contributes to maintaining the supplies of Belarusian tires to the Ukrainian market.

A similar agreement between Belarus and Ukraine was in force before. It was valid until 31 December 2009.
