OREANDA-NEWS. January 20, 2011. "Overall for 2010 industrial production growth was 11% against 22% to the slump in 2009.  It is a large positive contribution to the restoration of the national economy ", - the Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov declared during meeting of Government.

On his words, if the not protracted recession in building and extreme and unfavorable for agriculture weather, it is possible it would be to count approximately on 8% growth of GDP in the last year.

Head of Government noted that in 2010 is rather good results of the engineering industry (growth - 34,5%), industry (over 12%), electricity (about 10%).  Reviving light industry (growth in specific areas varied between 6% to 33%), practically the production of build materials went out on a pre-crisis level.

In addition, overly optimistic, according to Prime Minister, are indicators of agricultural production.  Mykola Azarov noticed thus, that positive job of industry performances dissatisfied the necessities of domestic agricultural market still, that is why Government in future will support the production of modern technique for a village.

The Head of Government noted that last year worked well manufacturers of cars, trucks and cars, buses.  "Last year our Mechanics competed successfully with leading companies in the world, signing contracts in Russia, USA, Middle East, Central Asia.  It is about production, supply and service of high-tech equipment turbines, transformers, launch vehicles and so on to make major long-term projects ", - Mykola Azarov declared.

According to him, for 11 months of 2010 compared to same period 2009, export of locomotives and road equipment grew more that three times, terrestrial transport means – by 1,4 times.  Due to economic and political stability in 2010, foreign partners in Ukraine launched a number of joint projects on the production and upgrading of buses, aircraft engines, locomotives, etc.

The Prime Minister also noted that in 2010, despite the extremely limited financial resources were increased capital expenditures of State about 2 times compared with the year 2009.

Besides, budgetary financing of infrastructure projects which were in fact frozen in previous years, helped restore demand for domestic engineering and promptly pay its employees.

Mykola Azarov noted that despite drought in some positions in the agricultural sector is growing: 43% increased production of pork, sugar - by 21,5%, oil - 8%, butter - by 6%.

As the Prime Minister underlined, the Government will continue to support of a build complex.  He believes that 2011 may be crucial for building complex, and in the second half of the building will return to pre-crisis volumes.

"However, overall industrial output did not return to pre-crisis level and amounted to 82% of the volume of industrial output in 2007", - Mykola Azarov noticed.  But he added that first of all to say about the quality of economic growth: "We have no illusions and realize that last year's rise is characterized by the resumption of pre-crisis level, such as machinery, automobile, agricultural machinery, light industry, and is associated with almost a full stop  production in 2008-2009, when the matter came down the conveyor unit.  So we are talking about encouraging trends at the same time that neither quality or quantity of growth are still not satisfied.

In particular, according to the Prime Minister, coke and oil do not even reached last year's volume, decreased production of oil, gas and coal.  Mykola Azarov noted that these results demonstrate poor work management of fuel and energy sector, and requires personnel changes: "I demand from Fuel and Energy Minister Yuriy Boyko to replace ineffective managers who allowed the backlog of basic industry.

The Head of Government is confident that negative trends can be overcome, particularly by increasing the level of complexity to the managers of enterprises with state shares, and especially - to the heads of state monopolies.
