OREANDA-NEWS. January 25, 2011. Penza Regional Arbitration Court dismissed the claim of “Lukoil-Nizhnevolzhsknefteproduct” Ltd. on invalidating the determination of the Office of the Federal Antimonopoly Service (OFAS Russia) in the Penza region and confirmed legitimacy of the administrative fine imposed upon the company, reported the press-centre of FAS Russia.

Earlier Penza OFAS Russia established that in the end of July 2009 “Lukoil-NNP” Ltd., “Gazservice” Ltd., “Energia Plyus” Ltd., “Navigator-2000” Ltd. an individual entrepreneur Korochkova, “Avtogaz” Ltd., “Avtogaz Plyus” Ltd. and “GazAvto” Ltd. simultaneously increased retail prices for liquefied petroleum gas by 25%.

In January 2010, the Commission of Penza OFAS Russia found that the economic entities were engaged in concerted actions and violated Clause 1 Part 1 Article 11 of the Federal Law “On Protection of Competition”.

Under Article 14.32 of the Code of the Russian Federation on Administrative Violations, Penza OFAS Russia fined “Lukoil-Nizhnevolzhsknefteproduct” Ltd. 750,000 Rubles.

“Lukoil-Nizhnevolzhsknefteproduct” Ltd. filed a lawsuit challenging the determination of the antimonopoly body on imposing the fine.

On 19th January 2011, Penza Regional Arbitration Court considered the case materials and dismissed the claim of “Lukoil-Nizhnevolzhsknefteproduct” Ltd.
