OREANDA-NEWS. February 10, 2011. The 4,680 photovoltaic panels of the MPX Taua solar power plant, which will catch sunlight to be changed into electricity, are expected to arrive this month at Taua, where the first commercial scale solar power plant of Brazil is now being built in the region of the Inhamuns, approximately  350 km from Fortaleza (Ceara). Manufactured by the Japanese company Kyocera, the equipment was shipped as three sets, one coming directly from Japan and the other two from the United States.

Panel assembly and the power system installation, the last stages of plant construction, were contracted to the Spanish corporations Conectavol and Ingeteam, and are planned for the first weeks of the month of February. Plant start-up is scheduled for March 2011.
