OREANDA-NEWS. February 14, 2011. The Federal Antimonopoly Service discovered violations in the work of the Main Veterinary Office of the Omsk Region, reported the press-centre of FAS Russia.

On 18th January 2011, the Federal Antimonopoly Service initiated a case against the Main Veterinary Office of the Omsk Region.

The case was initiated upon the petition of the Russian Grain Union that No.152 Order of the Main Veterinary Office of the Omsk Region of 23rd September 2010 contained the signs of antimonopoly violations.

According to the participants of the grain market, the Order created difficulties for their activities: it prohibited registration and issuing veterinary accompanying documents for animal feedstuff and fodder grain to be transported for distribution outside the Omsk region under the excuse of an adverse situation with rabies in the Omsk region.

Investigating the case, the FAS Russia Commission established that No.152 Order by the Veterinary Office contradicted Part 1 Article 15 of the Federal Law “On Protection of Competition”.

The Main Vetarinary Office of the Omsk Region voluntarily eliminated the violations revealed by the antimonopoly body.
