OREANDA-NEWS. March 01, 2011. Ukio bankas invites its clients to contribute to the nature recourse protection and ecological issues solving and organizes a special campaign until 10 April Let the nature breathe freely – use Eta bankas! During the term of the campaign, the clients having concluded online service provision agreement, will be presented with virtual Ukio bankas Virtual MasterCard card intended for settlements on the internet. This card may be used in all online shops and fairs displaying MasterCard logo, reported the press-centre of Ukio Bankas.

"More and more often ecological issues are being discussed in our country. Ukio bankas encourages its clients by a traditional online banking campaign not only to save their time and money but also to save nature and its recourses – to refuse paper invoices, trips to the bank or shops and to manage own business and shopping online," – said Jolita Kiausiene, Ukio bankas Director of Electronic Banking Department.

According to her, though it may seem that problems of ecology are remote and indefinite, we all face them more and more often in reality. “For example, these days air pollution by hard particles exceeds the standard in all bigger and smaller industrial cities of the country due to gas exhausted by vehicles and favorable weather conditions. Using such means as on-line banking we could contribute to pollution decrease," - said J. Kiausiene.

Ukio bankas, participating in United Nations Global Agreement for Responsible Business seeks to support idea of ecology in its direct activity. The clients are encouraged by the Bank to choose electronic banking services due to economic reasons as well – many banking operations are cheaper via Eta bankas: there is no commission fee for utility fees and attractive fees for other transactions are applied.

Ukio bankas is the first and the only in Lithuania having provided a possibility to connect to e-banking system and to sign by all free electronic signature means possible in Lithuania – mobile e-signature, signature in USB key and electronic signature in Personal Identity Card of the Republic of Lithuania.
