OREANDA-NEWS. March 21, 2011. 14% of funds each are on accounts of the Moldinconbank and Victoriabank, 8% - on accounts of the Moldova Agroindbank. These data were reported by the Ministry of Economy of Moldova after the analysis of the information about the public enterprises’ bank accounts and operations, carried out at the government’s request to check a possible dubious concentration of funds.

The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy Valerii Lazar said the Ministry of Economy’s internal audit would soon complete checking the financial-economic activity of the public enterprises subordinated to it.

He urged other ministries to support this initiative as well, to have a general picture about the state’s assets and the public enterprises management efficiency. The Ministry of Economy also urged enterprises subordinated to it, to present the data about the public purchases, contracted insurance and consulting services.

According to Valerii Lazar, he has seen some quite disturbing and even dubious moments here. He said the internal audit which will start as early as next week, would help clarify these moments, and, if necessary, to take very tough measures.
