OREANDA-NEWS. The Week of Telecommunications and Informational Society will be held in Moldova for the fifth time during May 17-20. The World Telecommunications and Informational Society Day will be celebrated during the event, organized by the Ministry of Information Technologies and Communication.

This year, the World Telecommunications and Informational Society Day is dedicated to the subject “Better Life with the ITC in Rural Areas”. The Week of Telecommunications and Informational Society-2011 includes a number of important events, which have a common objective and ideology – promoting info-communication technologies and increase the number of advanced technologies users in Moldova.

Awarding of winners of the “Best Publication in the IT sector” contest, winners of the Republican Information Science Contest (teachers and pupils), the Moldova ICT Summit 2011, the round table “On introduction of the digital television”, determining finalists of the 2nd contest “Tineret – Future Begins from You” will also take place. The annual celebration of the World Telecommunications and Informational Society Day was approved in Moldova by the Government’s decree on April 30, 2008.
