Nine staff from grass-root branches, namely, Cai Meihua, Jiang Wei, Jin Yingying, Wang Tiesheng, Chen Tiegang, Xiao Yihua, Lan Liansheng, Lou Ting, Zhao Suhui and Shanghai Branch Huangpu Zhonghua Road Sub-branch were named as the "'Touching ICBC' Staff" in the second year of the award programme hosted by ICBC on April 11, 2011. ICBC Chairman Jiang Jianqing, President Yang Kaisheng, Chairman of the Board of Supervisors Zhao Lin were also present at the award ceremony and presented the awards to the "Touching ICBC" Staffs. ICBC staffs from branches and subsidiaries nationwide joined the award ceremony via video conference, reported the press-centre of ICBC.

The ten "Touching ICBC" Staff and Sub-Branch represented the best staff of ICBC, said ICBC Chairman Jiang Jianqing in his speech during the award ceremony. Their exemplary deeds demonstrated the good nature of ICBC staff, the broadness of mind, the spirit of moving forward, the tenuous effort on the job, the readiness to help people, the integrity and righteousness. Though they worked in different job positions and environment, they stayed at their jobs, resolved every issue and challenge. They were the inheritors and practitioners of ICBC corporate culture. He urged all staffs to learn from them, their high virtue, their willingness to offer sacrifice,their good attitude toward their works and striving to excel at their jobs. They made new contributions to the reform and development of ICBC by their spirit of entrepreneurialism in seizing every opportunity to exercise full play in the positions.

"Touching ICBC" Staff nomination is one important measure of ICBC corporate program in presenting honor to grass-root staffs for their heart-warming efforts and pushing ahead the corporate culture program. A total of 65 employees were nominated from branches and sub-branches at all levels. Nine "Touching ICBC" Staff and one Sub-branch were selected from 30 finalists by the staff votes, performance evaluation and public announcement. Among them, there were the mid-aged staff over 50 years of age who has achieved outstanding performance after successful change of job position, the outlet teller who has been very brave to protect the property of country and customers in the face of personal danger, the sub-branch president who led the whole team to create stellar performance, and the key staff who spent the last minute of life on the work.

They all manifest their bravery, by their spirit of enthusiasm, responsibility, persistence, their conviction in defending principle, righteousness and truthfulness. Their touching stories showed the high moral and spirit of ICBC staff. Each true and heart-winning story touched the heart of every ICBC staff, encouraging all to learn from the best staff, work very hard to be the pacesetter, set real-to-life examples and pursue excellence. Let the involvement brought by the "Touching Staff" put into the practical actions.

The "Touching ICBC Staff" is a program held once in every two years since 2008. Today, the program is a brand carrier to select and reward the outstanding staff for the ICBC reform and development, guides and encourages all staff involved in ICBC corporate culture program.
