OREANDA-NEWS. May 03, 2011. The volume of transactions of the international money transfer system Unistream soared to USD 860 mln. in Q1 to nearly USD 860 mln., a 26-percent increase compared to the same period last year. In Jan – Mar 2010 the system processed transaction worth USD 678 mln., reported the press-centre of UNISTREAM.

The number of transfers has demonstrated a 15-percent growth, 1.4 mln. against 1.2 mln. respectively.

The system entered the second quarter of 2011 operating over 200 thousand outlets in 100 countries around the globe.

In Russia, Unistream is in partnership with 170 financial institutions while the number of service points exceeded 4,200. In the CIS, the number of partners is 140, the outlet number is 13,300.

The president for Unistream, Souren Hayriyan believes that the serious growth of the financial and operational indicators is due to the success the system achieved, implementing projects in major spheres of its development.

On the international front, Unistream managed to achieve a considerable growth. An important integration project was launched in Bangladesh. The system managed to obtain pan-European license in Cyprus, which gave a green light to intensive development in the European continent.
The president of Unistream, Souren Hayriyan reported the system fulfilled all the plans scheduled for Q1.

He also highlighted the progress the system reached in implementation of the Unistream Unified Client Identity Card program.

Over 64 percent of the remittances via Unistream are processed using the UCIC.
