OREANDA-NEWS. May 03, 2011. Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin chaired a meeting at OJSC Zavod ZhBI-6 (a subsidiary of LSR Group) on Measures to Develop Construction Industry of Russia. The Government delegation headed by Mr. Putin visited the production facility and learnt about its innovative technologies, reported the press-centre of LSR Group.

The meeting was also attended by Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Kozak, Minister of Regional Development Viktor Basargin, government officials, heads of the regions as well as heads of the largest Russian construction companies, including Alexander Vakhmistrov, CEO and Chairman of the Executive Committee of LSR Group.

Before the meeting, the Government delegation together with Vladimir Putin visited the production facility upgraded during 2009-2011 as a part of modernization programme. The excursion was held by Ivan Romanov, Managing Director of LSR Group in Moscow and Alexandr Sidorov, General Manager of OJSC Zavod ZhBI-6. The plant also launched 2 production lines with new advanced equipment by Weckenmann and Vollert and expanded finished products storage. As a result, Zavod ZhBI-6 broadened the range of manufactured goods and reoriented into a house-building factory with the annual capacity to complete up to 240 th sq. m of housing per year. The flexible production lines installed at the plant and quickly readjusted forms make it possible to produce different types of reinforced concrete elements suitable for construction of various buildings.

Moreover, the prime minister was told about the new energy-efficient “seamless” technology used in construction in St. Petersburg, Moscow and Yekaterinburg. This technology implies external walls insulation and seamless facades, guaranteeing high insulation and eliminating the risk of leakage and cold bridging.

The delegation also was shown a number of LSR Group projects, including several projects of integrated development in St. Petersburg (Yuzhnaya Akvatoriya residential complex) and in Yekaterinburg (Kalinovsky residential complex). Besides, the visitors saw a project of low-rise construction of reinforced concrete products manufactured by house-building factories of LSR Group. Since April 2010 the company has been constructing 2-storey and 3-storey residential houses for 8 and 12 apartments - EURO-8 and EURO-12. Highly demanded EURO-houses are built based on the “seamless” facade fit-out technology and can be completed within just 3 months.

LSR Group house-building factories are equipped to manufacture reinforced concrete elements to complete buildings of 2 to 25 storeys. Such projects are already developed, approved and now being implemented in St. Petersburg, the Moscow region and Yekaterinburg.

After the excursion at Zavod ZhBI-6, prime minister Vladimir Putin emphasized positive results of the production facility upgrade: “the upgraded production lines mean another quality. Everything has been done properly and efficiently, with the use of modern technologies”.
