OREANDA-NEWS. May 06, 2011. The Ministry of Agriculture and Food of Ukraine provide for state programs support of domestic producers a compensation for storage of agricultural products and will popularize among farmers the tradition of frozen vegetables and fruits. The Minister of Agricultural Policy and Food Mykola Prysyazhnyuk said this during his working trip to Crimea.

"Today is a good example of reconstruction of old refrigerators with the introduction of modern technologies is the Crimean Fruit Company. Using of refrigerators is cheaper and still kept the quality of products. However, It is cheaper for the state to compensate costs for refrigerators, - the Minister of Agricultural Policy and Food noted.

According to Mykola Prisyazhnyuka, now the construction of warehouses for storing agricultural products is one of the most important tasks. "Currently, demand for fruits and vegetables growing, and our task - to take advantage of this and not allow Ukrainian consumers accustomed to the imported products. So we have agreed with the Prime Minister that from the next year in the budget program we assume some compensation for the storage of agricultural products at certified warehouses ", - the head Ministry of Agricultural Policy and Food said.

Besides, the Ministry will oblige owners of storage to control the loading and provide product storage. "We conducted the analysis and regional breakdown showed that there are farms that build warehouses to store, but they are not fully loaded, but only by 30-35%. After many years of lack of state support domestic farmers are not providing full services for storage of agricultural products from other manufacturers, so we ought to do it a Ukrainian tradition” Mykola Prysiazhniuk emphasized.

The Minister added that the Ministry will encourage construction of warehouses for storing vegetables.
