OREANDA-NEWS. May 11, 2011. TATNEFT develops advanced technologies for the reservoir pressure maintenance (RPM) system aimed at reducing energy costs and increasing the production efficiency. Today they are focused on protecting downhole equipment of the injectors against high pressure and corrosion, as well as on the integrated optimization of RPM processes and service development, reported the press-centre of TATNEFT.

For the purpose of meeting these objectives the Company implements a comprehensive targeted program for protection of downhole equipment against high pressure and corrosion deterioration through application of corrosion resistant tubing and highly reliable M1-X packers.

New technologies of injecting the process fluid are also being developed. The method of dual injection applied by oilmen allows simultaneous injection of fluid through one well into two productive formations. The technology of downhole dump flooding allows organizing the RPM system in the fields' areas remote from the main communication lines. The method of simultaneous water injection into three productive formations is also applied with obtaining injection parameters information in the real time mode.

Also continuous monitoring of the injected waste water quality has been organized at OAO TATNEFT. Application of in-line contaminants analyzers allows the Company to arrange permanent control over the suspended solids and petroleum products content, promptly respond to changes in performance, preventing premature contamination of the reservoir bottomhole area. Application of the in-line dissolved oxygen analyzers enables to carry out constant monitoring of the corrosiveness of the pumped effluent water. This increases the service life of water pipelines and pumping equipment of the RPM system.

Further development of the RPM system in the Company is related with the active implementation of information technologies creating possibility of optimizing process flow diagrams and equipment of the RPM system. This will improve the quality and speed of information exchange; will provide an opportunity to perform qualitative and objective analysis of the technologies and the equipment efficiency, as well as to ensure prompt resolution of cooperation issues with service companies.
