OREANDA-NEWS. July 4, 2011. This Summer, Ukrainians will be able to save nearly half of expenses spent on money transfers to Russia and other countries. MoneyGram, the global system of money transferring, and PrivatBank launch a joint campaign, “Summer with MoneyGram!”, which allows customers to reduce significantly the costs of transfers to the most popular directions.

In particular, a tariff for money transfers from Ukraine to the CIS countries and Israel in MoneyGram system during the campaign is lowered by more than 40%. In Summer PrivatBank customers can transmit money by hot MoneyGram tariffs and save on money transfers, and not on vacation, - said Andrei Afanasyev, MoneyGram Marketing Director in the CIS, Israel and Eastern Europe.

We expect the number of outgoing transfers via MoneyGram system in PrivatBank to increase by 20% during the campaign, - said Deputy Chairman of Privatbank Yuri Kandaurov.

The most popular direction of money transfers from Ukraine according to NBU data, like in previous years, remains Russia (about 42% of all transfers made). As a part of the Summer campaign money transferring to Russia will be not only profitable but also more comfortable due to partnership agreement with Sberbank of Russia - to date, more than 8'600 offices of Sberbank in the Russian Federation are already connected to the MoneyGram network.
