OREANDA-NEWS. July 15, 2011. The Head of the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia) Igor Artemyev and the Chairman of the Board of the National Union of Milk Producers - “SOYUZMOLOKO” - Andrey Danilenko signed a Cooperation Agreement, reported the press-centre of FAS Russia.

According to the Parties, the Agreement will facilitate cooperation, protection and development of competition on the market of milk and dairy products, improvement of state control over compliance with the antimonopoly law, and help prevent unfair competition and unreasonable growth of prices for milk and dairy products. FAS Russia also believes that implementing the agreement will enable the Antimonopoly Service to promptly resolve the issues of developing one of the most essential markets of socially important food products.

Cooperation between the Parties will comprise work on improving regulatory and legal framework, regulating activities for production, processing and sale of milk and dairy products in order to strengthen the mechanisms of competition and prevent restrictions of commercial activities on this market as well as mutual exchange of information necessary to fulfill the Agreement conditions.
