OREANDA-NEWS. September 05, 2011. The National Bank of Moldova doesn’t forecast nay changes in the MDL exchange rate evolution in the coming months, - Dorin Dragutanu. In the interview, the NBM Governor said the situation would most likely be similar to those observed every year in the autumn-winter period.

“There are no new preconditions for any considerable fluctuations, the market is working in the usual mode and we are closely watching it”, stressed Dorin Dragutanu. He also said a big seasonal offer of currency on the market had existed in late summer and the NBM had taken advantage of this factor to replenish its foreign exchange reserves by purchasing surplus of currency in the amount that doesn’t have a strong impact on the market, but allow increasing reserves and preparing for winter.
