OREANDA-NEWS. September 23, 2011. President He Wenbo of Baosteel Group Corporation met Ms Adamson, the new Australian Ambassador to PRC, in Baoshan Hotel. Both parties exchanged opinions of the issues of common interests such as the development outlook of China and Australia and the international steel industry. Vice president of Baosteel Ltd. and president of Steel Pipe, Tube And Bar Business Unit Jiang Licheng attended the meeting, reported the press-centre of Baosteel.

Ms Adamson acceded to Australian Ambassador to PRC in early August this year. It is her first visit to Shanghai after assuming the office of ambassador and Baosteel is the first stop on her itinerary.

In the meeting, Ms Adamson said that she heard of Baosteel's name long time ago and was honored to come here in person. In the meantime, she is very positive about the outlook of cooperation between China and Australia in steel sector.

He Wenbo welcomed Ms Adamson's visit to Baosteel. He said the cooperation between Baosteel and Australian enterprises in steel supply chain dated back to long time ago, and believed that, with the joint efforts of both parties, more intimate cooperative relationship will be built up, and broader space for cooperation will be explored to jointly drive the international steel industry to keep developing further.

After the meeting, Ms Adamson and her retinue also visited the plant of Baosteel Ltd.
