OREANDA-NEWS. October 13, 2011. The Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia) and the Government of the Kamchatka region signed the Agreement on Cooperation. On behalf of FAS Russia the Agreement is signed by Stats-Secretary, Deputy Head of FAS Russia Andrey Tsarikovsky, on behalf of the Kamchatka region – the Governor of Kamchatka, Vladimir Ilyukhin, reported the press-centre of FAS Russia.

The parties agreed about arrangements aimed at protecting competition and creating conditions for effective market performance, implementing the programme for developing competition in the Kamchatka region, and observing the antimonopoly and advertising law, the law on state procurement and on natural monopolies.

On behalf of the Kamchatka region the Agreement will be implemented by the Ministry of Development and Commerce, on behalf of FAS Russia – the office of FAS Russia in the Kamchatka region.

FAS Russia and the Government of the Kamchatka region agreed to conduct mutual consultations, organize working meetings and workshops in order to devise proposals towards improving cooperation between the parties, etc.

The parties also plan to mutually exchange information about the state of competition on the markets of the Kamchatka region and information regarding verification whether prices for energy resources and socially important goods are justified.
