OREANDA-NEWS. October 14, 2011. This is written in Russian newspaper "Kommersant", noting that this is due to fears of importers that main warehouse Moscow "Sunlogistik" will not renew license for possession of alcohol after October 19.

The publication notes that the company "Moro", which, according to the Federal Customs Service of Russia in 2010 was the largest importer of wines from Moldova to Russia with a share of 25% of supply, has asked its partners from 10 October to suspend all shipments of goods from Moldova till special order.

"Moro" explains such a step by the expiry of the license for the storage of alcoholic products in the warehouse "Sunlogistik." In "Sunlogistik" they note that all the necessary checks were carried by the RAR, and the company expected an answer by the end of this week, refusing further comments. Warehouse "Sunlogistik" has long been the only window for import into Russia of wine production from Moldova.

Now these wines can also be delivered through the Northwest Customs office in St. Petersburg (on the basis of logistic terminal "Elit-Trans"). But to carry Moldovan wine in Moscow is less far. Moscow terminal accounts for about 80% of deliveries. According to one of the distributors, a break in supplies could cost the company "Moro" approximately USD 100 thousand per week, noting that it's just revenue shortfall, without penalty from retailers.
