OREANDA-NEWS. October 20, 2011. In course of the events commemorating 20-year anniversary of creating the antimonopoly authority of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the antimonopoly bodies of the Russian Federation, the Republic of Kazakhstan and Austria held a bilateral meeting, reported the press-centre of FAS Russia.

The Russian Federation was represented at the meeting by Deputy Head of FAS Russia, Anatoly Golomolzin, the Republic of Kazakhstan – by Deputy Chairman of the Agency for Protection of Competition, Boris Parsegov, and Austria – Theodor Tanner, and other representatives of the antimonopoly authorities of three countries.

The parties discussed the composition and main areas of work of the International Working Group for investigating pricing on the market of oil and oil products and methods of its functioning.

The participants made a decision to involve competition authorities of the countries and Europe and the CIS in activities of the Working Group.

The parties agreed that the Working Group will facilitate exchange experience for competition enforcement on the market of oil and oil products. The Group will also focus on the issues of observing the norms of competition law in organized exchange trade with oil and oil products, in particular, coordinating activities of bidders by organizers of competitive bidding.

The parties also agreed to organize a meeting in Moscow between representatives of exchanges and electronic trading sites and the Working Group, which is scheduled on November – December 2011.

Efforts of the Working Group will help develop joint approaches to ensure fair competition on the market of oil and oil products.
