OREANDA-NEWS. December 07, 2011. This was announced by vice-president of the Orange group on European markets Benoit Scheen at his meeting with prime-minister of Moldova Vladimir Filat and general director of Orange Moldova Ludmila Climoc.

The sides discussed matters concerning activity of the Orange group in Moldova and outlooks of its expansion. Benoit Scheen has pointed out that new investment will be designed at strengthening signal coverage on primary roads and in build up areas. Besides, Orange is going to launch 4G technology to provide a high-speed access to the multimedia information. Benoit Scheen has said that the Orange group is satisfied with achievements of its branch in Moldova and appreciates the Moldova’s government’s assistance rendered to IT operators.

Vladimir Filat has welcomed the intention of the Orange group to make new investment to Moldova and assured that the government will give the company all necessary help as far as IT sector promotion is of great importance in Moldova. He emphasized commitment of Moldovan authorities to launch the ambitious project on electronic management and the need in partners to provide necessary infrastructure and render residents of Moldova qualitative service.

The sides discussed the matters of cooperation of economic agents with education institutions on upgrading Mobile and IT operators’ activity. The launch of some projects on the basis of public and private partnership to provide Moldova with qualitative services was also considered.
