OREANDA-NEWS. December 27, 2011. The International Forum "Prospects for ICT Development in the CIS and Eastern Europe" has taken place. By the invitation of the National Commission for Regulation of Communications and Information the Forum brought together 150 participants from 12 countries of the world.

Within the framework of the forum at the booth of Datagroup the company has presented the major infrastructure projects that were implemented in 2011: WI-FI network for Kharkiv Airport and construction of communication channels for NSC "Olympiyskyi".

In Kharkiv the operator has installed 7 stations, which cover the hall, cafe, areas of international and domestic flights, customs inspection area and passenger border checkpoints. The Internet access speed makes up to 54 Mbps depending on the protocol, which supports the user's device.

Datagroup became the first operator, which has laid the two independent optical channels with the capacity of 110 Mbps for NSC "Olympiyskyi". All works have been performed to the opening of the stadium. "Olympiyskyi" uses the communication channels for organization of the high-quality online broadcasts on the Internet.

Datagroup CEO – Mr. Alexander Danchenko also actively participated in the Forum. The speakers from 7 European countries have shared their experience in integrating the various projects, and have discussed the trends in the industry. Mr. Alexander Danchenko’s presentation was devoted to professional education. The current system of training of future professionals for the ICT sector does not meet the market requirements and business needs, it is controlled spontaneously, and the most important thing is that the education takes place with the use of obsolete methods. As a result, young professionals remain to be not demanded by the employers because they do not orient in technologies, equipment and processes. The task of the government and business is to provide to the education sector an opportunity for integration of Ukrainian schoolchildren and students in the world-wide research area. One of such tools has been presented by Mr. Alexander Danchenko. The project "Digital District" will allow connection to the Internet of about 10 thousand objects, including secondary and higher education institutions. Connection to the network will be made by means of various technologies, in remote areas via satellites. In case of availability of Internet access in universities and schools, Datagroup can provide a connection to the worldwide educational network GEANT – the largest scientific and educational multi-gigabit Internet network in Europe

The Forum ended with the signing by all parties of the Resolution, in which the public authorities, scientific and educational bodies, businesses were recommended to take into account the problems, highlighted by the forum. Also, the resolution calls all the interested parties to take part in discussion of these issues with a view of further formation of the development strategy of the ICT branch.
