OREANDA-NEWS. February 08, 2012. The Head of FAS Department for Control over Financial Markets, Olga Sergeeva, took part in a meeting with the heads of the banks, organized by the Association of Regional Banks of Russia, reported the press-centre of FAS Russia.

The heads of the largest banks, representatives of the Bank of Russia, the State Duma [the lower chamber of parliament], Rosfinmonitoring [the Federal Service of Financial Monitoring] that took part in the meeting discussed the issues of regulating commercial banks by the Central Bank of the Russian Federation.

Olga Sergeeva made a presentation “Changes in the Antimonopoly Law Important for the Banking Market”.

Participants took a favourable view of the changes introduced by Article 35 of the Federal Law “On Protection of Competition”: reducing administrative burden on the banks due to abolishing notification procedures for control over written agreements between financial originations and financial originations and executive bodies if the Russian Federation.

Olga Sergeeva also paid special attention to the amendments introduced to the Code of the Russian Federation on Administrative Violations on changing the procedures for calculating fines for violating the antimonopoly law.
