OREANDA-NEWS. February 20, 2012. Belarus’ beer output increased 44.3% on the year in January 2012 to 3.332 million decaliters, a representative in the concern Belgospischeprom told reporters.

OJSC Krinitsa, based in Minsk, produced 917.600 million decaliters of beer, up 87.5% on the year.

OJSC Olivaria, based in the city of Minsk, produced 761,000 decaliters of beer in January 2012, an increase of 59.2% on the year. OJSC Lidskoe Pivo (Lida Beer), in the Grodno Region, increased beer output 20.1% to 533,800 decaliters.

OJSC Brest Beer produced 245,000 decalitres of beer, up 17.4%.

Heineken Breweries companies’ output reached 874,400 million decaliters of beer in the period, up 27.6% on the year.

Beer output in plastic bottles accounts for 82.9% of the total output at 2.761 million decaliters (up 47.8%), beer glass bottles - 12.1% to 402,900 decaliters (up 25.2%), beer in kegs 3.9% at 131,400 decaliters (up 16.7%) and beer in cans - 1.1% at 36,500 dal (430% up).

Belarusian beer supplies to domestic wholesalers and retailers increased 21.5% on the year in January 2012 to 2.458 million decaliters.

Krinitsa sales went up 31% to 645,000 decaliters, Olivaria sales went up 15.7% to 490,400 million decaliters, Lidskoe pivo sales increased 11.4% to 399,000 decaliters, and sales of Brest Beer went up 5.6% to 141,090 million decaliters, of Heineken Breweries companies increased 28% to 782,600 decaliters.

Belarusian companies’ export of beer grew 11.2% to 305,900 decaliters. Krinitsa’s exports rose 4.8% to 210,900 decaliters, Lidskoe Pivo exported 49,000 decaliters, up 83.5%. Olivaria exported 9,900 decaliters, up 180%, Brest Beer 25,400 decaliters, up 8.8%.

Heineken Breweries companies’ export fell 43.8% to 11,700 decaliters of beer.
