OREANDA-NEWS. March 09, 2012. President of ALROSA Fedor Andreev held a working meeting with the corporate management. The agenda included issues related to sales policies and work with ALROSA's subsidiaries and affiliates, reported the press-centre of ALROSA.

In January and February 2012, the company's sales of rough and polished diamonds reached approximately USD 694 M.

For the same period in the previous year, ALROSA's sales of its main products were USD 574 M.

ALROSA notes a steadily growing global demand for rough diamonds. Since the beginning of the year, the demand for polished diamonds and diamond jewelry has grown by 8%-12% with a slight drop in global diamond production. The company expects to sell rough and polished diamonds worth USD 1,123 M in 1Q 2012.
