OREANDA-NEWS. March 09, 2012. UTair Aviation, ranked among the top three Russian airlines, continues to show significant growth. In January 2012, UTair Group, consisting of UTair Aviation, UTair Express, UTair-Ukraine, UTair-Cargo, Turukhan Airlines, Nefteyugansk, Vostok, Helisur, UTair Europe s.r.o., UTair South Africa Ltd and UTair India transported a total of 603,779 passengers, a YoY increase of 42.8%.

In January 2012 passenger turnover constituted 1,000,592.8 PKM, an increase of 53.1% over same period in 2011 and surpassing the industry average for growth in this indicator standing at 13.4% according to the Transport Clearing House

In total, the Group’s fixed wing aircraft logged 21,853 flight hours, 26.9% more than for the same period last year. UTair Group aircraft delivered 1,434.9 tons of cargo, 31.9% more than for the same period in 2011 and 308.8 tons of mail, 16.8% more than for the same period in 2011.

UTair Group helicopters logged a total of 9,177 flight hours, 36% more than for the same reporting period last year. UTair helicopters transported 6,170.7 tons of cargo, an increase of 15.7%.
