OREANDA-NEWS. March 09, 2012. According to Pulkovo International Airport traffic data for 2011, UTair Aviation took the lead among carriers with the greatest increase in the number of performed flights from the St. Petersburg airport.

In total Pulkovo facilitated 3,974 UTair flights carrying more than 270,000 passengers in 2011. This total, composed of UTair departures and arrivals for flights on existing routes in the UTair network revealed a 4% increase over the previous year. UTair Airlines operates regular flights from Pulkovo to Moscow, Nizhny Novgorod, Surgut, Syktyvkar, Khanty-Mansiysk and Naryan-Mar as well as operating charter flights from the airport.

UTair is among the top-three largest passenger airlines in Russia, the Baltic and CIS countries and has the largest route network in Russia, covering 90% of the territory. The majority of the airline’s fleet consists of modern comfortable Boeing, ATR and Bombardier Aircraft. UTair Group fixed wing aircraft performs more than 300 passenger flights daily and expects to transport more than 10 million passengers in 2012.
