OREANDA-NEWS. March 16, 2012. UAC takes part in the India Aviation 2012 international airshow held in Hyderabad. UAC civil aviation product line is presented by SSJ 100 and MC-21 aircraft. India, a long-time strategic partner of Russia in military aviation cooperation, is also a very important and prospective market for UAC’s civil products. The country’s air traffic growth will outpace all other markets and will amount to an average 10% per year in the next 20 years. In 2011 passenger volume grew by 16.6% versus 2010. India is also actively developing its airports and transport infrastructure that will allow to accommodate growing air traffic and to increase the mobility of the country’s population. UAC’s sales in the region could reach 100 aircraft combined for both the SSJ 100 and MC-21 families.

UAC is actively promoting its products in the region for the past several years both with well-established and new players on the market. The Hyderabad airshow is seen by UAC as the starting point for its active sales campaign. First firm orders are expected in 2013-2014 timeframe.
