OREANDA-NEWS. March 22, 2012. TNK-BP announces that it has entered the retail fuels market in Orel Region after closing a deal to acquire a network of 8 local service stations, reported the press-centre of TNK-BP.

By the end of 2012, TNK-BP plans to modernize the sites, which will be operated under the TNK brand and represent a substantial geographical expansion of the Company’s retail coverage. TNK-BP will thus provide its customers with access to the full range of high-tech retail site services across the entire length of the M2 “Crimea” federal highway, in Moscow, Tula, Orel, Kursk and Belgorod Regions.

According to Amir Feizulin, TNK-BP 1st Deputy Executive Vice President, Downstream, the deal is an important step towards implementing the long-range development strategy for TNK-BP’s retail business. “Thanks to the efficient expansion of the Company’s service station network our customers are getting access to TNK’s top-class service and high-quality fuels across the entire length of one of the country’s busiest transport arteries”, he said.
