OREANDA-NEWS. March 30, 2012. Belarus’ gross domestic product (GDP) expanded 3% on the year in January-February 2012 to 68.206 trillion Belarusian rubles (8.1 billion at the central bank’s exchange rate), an official with Belarus’ National Statistics Committee told reporters.

Industrial output in January-February 2012 increased 6.3% on the year to Br97.981 trillion (Br8,160/USD 1).

Farm output rose 6.7% to Br8.822 trillion.

In 2011, Belarus’ GDP grew 5.3% on the year to 274.3 trillion Belarusian rubles. Industrial output amounted to 337 trillion rubles, up 9.1% on the year. Farm output increased 6.6% to 56.7 trillion rubles.
