OREANDA-NEWS. May 17, 2012. The Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia) initiated a case against the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation (Rosselkhoz) upon signs of violating Part 1 Article 15 of the Federal Law “On Protection of Competition”, reported the press-centre of FAS Russia.

According to FAS, the signs of violating the antimonopoly law include issuing recommendations to the federal state institutions subordinate to the Melioration Department of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation to conclude civil law contracts with “Plodorodie” Department for Land Melioration and Agricultural Water Supply” Federal State Institution for exercising the functions of a specialized organization on state procurement of melioration works. It is formalized in Clause 2.10 of the Minutes of a Meeting with the heads of the Federal State Institution, subordinate to the Melioration Department of the Ministry of Agriculture, of Moscow State University of Environmental Engineering.
