Following the ceremony, more than 60 representatives of Russian and foreign media were invited to the second part of the event: Meeting Boeing 787 on the apron. The most memorable and colorful moment was the “baptism” of the aircraft, traditional in the aviation industry, the waterbridge created by water flows let by two fire engines over the taxiing aircraft. This historic moment was captured by flashes of many cameras. After the start of commercial operation of the aircraft, the aircraft spotting was organized and attended by more than 90 professional and amateur aviation photographers and bloggers.

Boeing 787 is one of the most anticipated and state-of-art aircraft in civil aviation, which began to fly to Russia on a regular basis in just six months after its commissioning. Today the Dream Liner is operated under the flag of only two airlines in the world, one of which operates at Domodedovo airport.

From May 7, JAL is offering flights on Boeing 787 from Tokyo to Moscow (Domodedovo) 3 times a week on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

The transportation partner of the event - Aeroexpress – provided transfer of reporters by a comfortable high-speed train to Domodedovo Airport and back.
