OREANDA-NEWS. June 1, 2012. "I offer my hand in sympathy and my words of support to Finland," President Toomas Hendrik Ilves said after the bloody shooting in Hyvinkaa in Uusimaa County.

"After this act of violence, Estonia is in mourning with the families and friends of the victims, and our hopes are with the wounded and their families," President Ilves assured.

"The brutality of such an incomprehensible attack should not make us feel powerless. These events emphasize the need to pay attention to fellow citizens, who have arrived at a dead end and can see no escape route that would be safe for them and society," the Estonian Head of State noted.
