OREANDA-NEWS. June 29, 2012. The 95.852% shareholding of the state in this company was sold at an auction launched at the Stock Exchange of Moldova at an initiative of the Agency of Public Property under the Ministry of Economy of Moldova.

Over 1.7 mln stocks of Viorica-Cosmetic offered as a single lot were sold at an initial price of 30 leis per share. Thus, a sum of the bargain totaled 51,04 mln. leis (USD 4,2 mln.). Moldova-Agroindbank, a broker buyer, has not disclosed information about a new owner of Viorica-Cosmetic. On behalf of the state, the stocks were realized by broker-seller Oldex, a company selected as a result of the competition. Viorica Cosmetic, a major producer of perfumery and cosmetics in Moldova, was founded in 1989.

It produces over 200 items, such as scent, toilet water, creams, shampoos, liquid soaps, hair care products, and others. In 2011 the net income of Viorica-Cosmetic made up 17.8 thou. leis (USD 1,5 thou.), being one third as compared with 2010. Its sales volume decreased 3.8% from 18,2 mln. to 17.5 mln. leis. The authorized capital of Viorica-Cosmetic equals to 19.5 mln. leis.
